ok, what is that 100-400 f5-6.3 about? so later they can release 100-400 f5.6 for double the price and after that 100-400 f4 for another double the price (sigma has 100-400 f4 already).

Well this is a Contemporary lens, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there would be a 100-400mm f/4 DG HSM OS Sports later down the line. Maybe together with a new 70-200/2.8 Sports.

Are they going to hold a big press conference to disclose the weight of the 24-70? It looks similar in size to the Tamron 24-70 2.0 which is 845 grams

m43 boys must be triggered. This FF Sigma 100-400 is only 150 grams heavier than Panasonic 100-400.

  • MissAshot

Why 24-70 weight is not announced?

  • stpr

Really surprised by the low weight of the 100-400 C, especially as the latest Sigma lenses released were not really lightweights.
My 120-400mm 4.5-5.6 DG APO HSM OS is ~1,75kg, so half a kg heavier. Good job.
