    This could be really bad news for Nikon


    Sony’s best camera sensors will be exclusively for Sony cameras and not available to Nikon

    And mirrorless cameras will have “intelligent sensors”
    On chip intelligence will not only make focusing faster but make intelligent decisions on what to focus on
    DSLR autofocus sensors can be made to focus fast, but the intelligence is too sophisticated to go into a separate AF sensor

    It seems Nikon will have to transition to mirrorless to survive….and they will have to do it without Sony’s help
