Update: Fuji GFX 50R medium format mirrorless camera with two-axis flip screen & dual SD cards

Some additional information on the upcoming Fuji GFX 50R medium format mirrorless camera from the Chinese Weibo account who initially leaked the first GFX 50R picture (above) - the new camera will have a two-axis flip screen and dual SD card slots:

Here are the updated specs I reported yesterday:

  • It’s exactly like the Fuji X-E3 camera but larger, with same button layout, no ISO dial, only shutter and exposure compensation dials
  • No top OLED screen
  • Has a joystick
  • Has a tilting screen
  • Thickness: less than 42mm
  • Weight; less than 800g
  • Price: around $3,600, a second report from China suggests $4,500 (for comparison the GFX 50S is $5,849)
  • There will also be a new pancake lens with an equivalent of 40mm focal length
  • The official announcement is on September 25th
  • Two-axis flip screen
  • Dual SD card slots

As you can see so far, everything pretty much matches the original GFX 50R rumors reported in May this year (update - the original rumors was actually reported in December 2017):

  • Price between $3,900 to $4,300
  • 50MP sensor
  • Rangefinder medium format mirrorless interchangeable lens camera
  • Basically X-Pro version of the GFX 50S
