Leica Q2 camera rumored to have a new 47MP sensor

The new Leica FOTOS app version 1.1.0 already has a listing for the upcoming Leica Q2 camera and two new resolution settings:

Here are the previous Leica Q2 camera rumors:

  • No changes to form factor, focal length (28mm), or aperture (f/1.7)
  • A significant increase in megapixels resolution
  • The increased resolution will enable additional "digital zoom" crop option at 75mm focal length (currently only 28mm, 35mm and 50mm are available in the current Leica Q model)
  • The Lecia Q2 is expected to be announced in 2019

In addition to the Sony RX1, the new Leica Q2 will be a serious competitor for the upcoming Zeiss ZX1.
