Tomorrow Leica will announce a $16k Noctilux M 50mm f/1.2 ASPH Heritage limited edition lens




Here are the details on the upcoming Leica Noctilux M 50mm f/1.2 ASPH Heritage limited edition lens:

  • Official announcement expected tomorrow (Thursday)
  • The silver version will be limited to 100 worldwide and will be available only in Leica stores and boutiques
  • 1800 black lenses will be produced
  • The price will be different for the two version (this is why previous price rumors were confusing)
    • Price for silver version: around $16,000
    • Price for black version: around $7,500
  • The silver lenses will come in red/white retro cardboard boxes
  • The black version will come in a regular black box
  • Shipping will start at the end of January
