The latest photo industry financial reports look very good (Sony, Panasonic, Ricoh, Canon, Nikon, Tamron)


Several companies released their financial reports and they all reported some significant improvements in their camera/lens sales (same trend is reported also by CIPA):

  • Sony's Q1 report: increase in sales of digital cameras due to an improvement in the product mix, increase in unit sales and the recovery from the impact of COVID-19.
  • Panasonic's Q1 report is also out, but as usual you cannot get any camera specific data.
  • The latest Ricoh financial report can be found here (cameras sales up significantly).
  • Canon: already reported here (R5 and R6 sales remain strong, has increased more than expected).
  • Nikon: increase in revenue in all segments, significant recovery in sales unit of digital cameras, strong mirrorless camera sales (revenues nearly doubled).
  • Tamron also had an amazing quarter: sales increased by more than 30%, sales in Chinese almost doubled (click for larger view):
