Canon filed a new patent in Japan for a tilt shift mount adapter that works with every EF lens. A similar patent was also filed in the US few months ago.

Rumors: Hasselblad could be purchased by Phase One

Last year I reported that Hasselblad was in financial trouble. Recently I received the company’s latest annual report and some information suggesting that it is unlikely Hasselblad will see 2016 as a stand-alone company because they are out of cash. They are desperately seeking for investors and one of the likely outcome is to be purchased by Phase One.

Uncompressed 14-bit RAW firmware update fot the Sony A7R II coming in mid-October

Sony Japan announced that their new uncompressed 14-bit RAW firmware update for the A7rII  camera will be officially released in mid-October. There is no information regarding the A7sII firmware update.

The latest patents from Canon, Panasonic and Konica Minolta

The latest Canon patent is for a 58mm f/1.4 lens (probably to compete with the Nikon 58mm f/1.4). Canon also filed a patent for a EF-S 9-20mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM lens (designed for APS-C DSLR cameras).
