New: Rokinon 300mm f/6.3 mirror lens for Sony NEX cameras

Rokinon showed the first pictures of their 300mm f/6.3 mirror lens for Sony E-mount on Facebook (see also the video). The MSRP will be $299, release in July 2013. Last year Tokina announced a similar lens for Micro Four Thirds ($299), while Kenko’s version is 400mm f/8 and is available in various mounts ($250 – $265).

This is the new Leica “Mini M”

For the past week Leica has been posting teasers for their new “Mini M” camera. The expectations for a X2-type camera with a zoom lens were true – the “Mini M” will have a zoom lens (Leica Elmar 3.5-6.4/28-70mm ASPH), 16MP APS-C sensor and a price tag of EUR 2,450 (over $3,000):

New: Samyang 16mm f/2 ED AS UMC CS lens for APS-C cameras

What else is new?

The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM lens for Sony and Pentax mounts are already shipping in the US and are currently in stock. Fujifilm released new firmware updates for the X-E1 and X-Pro 1 cameras which improves the AF performance of the new 55-200mm lens. Topaz labs released new Photoshop plugin called Clarity.
