For tomorrow: Pentax Theta 360 camera and Fuji XF 23mm f/1.4 R lens announcements

Confirmed: Olympus E-M1 camera announcement on September 10th

Digicame-info published an Olympus invitation for a press event scheduled for next week and confirmed what I already reported last week: the Olympus E-M1 camera and  M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-40mm f/2.8 lens will be announced on September 10th.

Rumors: Panasonic working on new pancake power zoom lenses

I received some information that Panasonic is working on a whole new series of pancake power zoom lenses for Micro Four Thirds cameras that will be similar in size to the current 14mm f/2.5 prime (pictured above). I expect to receive more detailed information in the coming weeks and months.

Kodak exits bankruptcy, now a “technology company serving imaging for business markets”

Well, they did it: today Kodak officially announced that they are exiting bankruptcy and will continue to exists as a “technology company serving imaging for business markets – including packaging, functional printing, graphic communications and professional services“. New Sony Sport Cam HDR-AS30 to be announced tomorrow

In few hours Sony will also announce a new HDR-AS30 sport cam that will replace the previous HDR-AS10 and HDR-AS15 models. The markings on the new version indicate a 12MP Exmor sensor and GPS capabilities. Via Sonyactioncam2

Ricoh press conference at IFA scheduled for Thursday, September 5th

The 2013 IFA Consumer Electronic Show will start this Friday (September 6th). Ricoh has scheduled a press conference for Thursday, September 5 at 3:00pm CEST.
