The latest patents from Ricoh, Canon and Fuji

Ricoh has a patent for a camera with a built-in dock for a smart phone. Another Ricoh patent is for infrared AF assist lamp (Nikon recently filed a similar patent). Canon has a patent for a new 24-300mm f/4-5.6 lens.

Fuji XF 1.4x teleconverter WR

In addition to the new XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens, Fujifilm will also announce a new XF 1.4x teleconverter WR next week for the PhotoPlus Expo in NYC (a picture of the prototype can be found here). Both the lens and teleconverter has been on the company’s roadmap for 2015:
