The replacement of the Panasonic CM1 camera smart phone that was announced today doesn’t actually have a phone functionality – the new CM10 is basically a “connected” camera that runs on Android OS. Panasonic calls it “communication camera” – the CM10 still has LTE communication capabilities, but it will not be able to make phone calls.

A new Panasonic GF8 (DMC-GF8) Micro Four Thirds camera was registered and approved by the Chinese agency SRRC. Expect the official announcement during the 2016 CES or CP+ show.
