New: Samyang 16mm f/2 ED AS UMC CS lens for APS-C cameras

Last week I mentioned that Samyang will be releasing two new APS-C lenses this summer. According to Samyang’s Facebook page, one of the new lenses will be 16mm f/2 ED AS UMC CS. The US price will be $449. Here are the known specs:

Samyang to announce two new APS-C lenses this summer

Samyang is rumored to announce two new APC-S lenses this summer. Those will be brand new designs and not a “remakes” of existing lenses. I do not have other details at that point. Stay tuned for more info.

Samyang/Rokinon T-S 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC tilt-shift lens to start shipping on May 15th

The new Samyang/Rokinon T-S 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC tilt-shift lens should start shipping in the US on May 15th, 2013 according to those B&H product listings. Samyang 50mm f/1.2 lens on the roadmap for 2014

Few weeks ago Samyang confirmed that they are working on a new 50mm lens. In a recent post on their Facebook page Samyang Asia mentioned that a new 50mm f/1.2 lens is on their roadmap for 2014. The lens will be available in Canon, Nikon and Sony mount.
