Norway will end up only with one Pentax DSLR (K7)?

The confusion about the different Pentax product lines continues. Just few days after the official statement from Pentax UK, the Norwegian importer Aronsen states that it will no longer acquire any K20D and offer the K7 instead. The Km is also on the way out, which along with the phasing out of the K200D would mean that in Norway Pentax would only have the K7 in their line-up, unless they launch a new DSLRs this year.

There was a report at one point that the new Pentax K7 is a replacement for the Pentax K20D. A Pentax UK spokeswoman confirmed to Amateurphotographer that “The K7 is not replacing the K20D.”

Olympus E-P1 (Micro Four Thirds)

olympus-e-p1

Some info on the next Micro Four Thirds camera from Olympus: it will be named E-P1. The confusion here is that two years ago Olympus already had a prototype with the name E-P1. We should know more in the next two weeks, prior to the official announcement.

Here is another screenshot from slrclub for Olympus camera model E-P1:

And one more on the future of the Apple camera

Update: iPhone 3.0 may have an autofocus camera.

After the first post about the future of the Apple digital camera, I came across those job postings – I know, they are mainly for the iPhone, but I still think that Apple is paying too much attention to the camera portion of their products lately:

Of course Apple will not replace your DSLR anytime soon, but your p&s may be in serious trouble. The next generation of iPod Nano is rumored to be equipped with a digital camera.

Two Sony lenses are still missing…

Maybe they will be released with the rumored Sony a500 and a550 DSLRs.

At the PMA 2009 show Sony showed 6 different prototype lenses: a unknown super-telephoto lens, DT 50mm F1.8, DT 30mm F2.8 Macro, DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6DT 55-200mm F4-5.6 and a 28-75mm F2.8. As of today all of them are released except the super-telephoto and the 28-75mm F2.8 zoom lenses. The question is – will there be another DLSR (high end) released with those lenses?
