I received this (probably fake) image of a Panasonic 45-300mm lens. This lens was rumored to be announced at Photokina together with 12-35mm, 35-100mm f/2.8 lenses and a GH3 camera.

Canon patents for a 16-35mm f/2.8 lens and 2.8x teleconverter

Patent application 201263568 is for a new 16-35mm f/2.8 lens from Canon. The patent also includes calculations for a 17-35mm f/2.8-4 and 16-35mm f/2-2.8 lenses. The interesting part is that Nikon recently also filed a patent for a new 16-35mm f/2.8 lens.

Fuji X-Pro1 cameras en route to US dealers, available on April 4th

Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 90mm f/3.5 SL II lens is now discontinued

Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 90mm f/3.5 SL II lens for DSLR cameras ($549) is now listed as discontinued on Cosina Japan website. I guess this lens did not sell that well because it was announced "just" two years ago. Curious to see if Voigtländer will announce a replacement at Photokina.
