DJI teases a second new gimbal (RS2 and RSC2?)


DJI added a second new gimbal to the initial Ronin (RS2?) teaser. The announcement date has now also shifted to 10/2020. The speculations are for a dual RS2 and RSC2 announcement on October.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f/5.0-6.3 IS lens delayed because of many pre-orders (wink wink)


Adding the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f/5.0-6.3 IS lens to my collection of photo gear that has “greatly exceeded expectations” and got so many pre-orders that was of course delayed. If one is to believe all those press releases, the photo industry must be doing great and I wonder why Olympus is selling their camera business.

Canon EOS R mirrorless camera with APS-C sensor rumored for the second half of 2021


The previously rumored Canon EOS R mirrorless camera with APS-C sensor is now expected to be announced in the second half of 2021. The new model is rumored to be a high-end camera (not an entry-level model). This all makes sense if you consider the latest rumors about Canon’s plan to kill the EOS M line in 2021.

Sony introduces new cinema line and teases a new FX6 cinema camera


Today Sony introduced a new cinema line and teased a new FX6 cinema camera:

“Existing products in the Sony range will form part of the Cinema Line include VENICE and FX9. VENICE has become a first choice for digital movie production, and the FX9 has an outstanding track record in documentary production. The next step will appeal to a wider spectrum of visual creators. Sony will be releasing and shipping this next addition to the Cinema Line, the FX6 camera by the end of 2020.”

Fuji has a new upcoming camera: FF200001 (new Fuji X-Pro4 on October 16?)


Fujifilm has a new upcoming camera registered under the model name FF200001. The new camera recently passed the FCC certification. The FF200001 is equipped with Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth (same RF module as the X-Pro3 model number WM-BN-BM-26 _A_ FF3). The designated date for a public announcement is October 16, 2020 (via Nokishita). Stay tuned for additional information.
