Micro Four Thirds has the biggest market share by lens mount in Japan for 2019 with 19.8%


Olympus and Panasonic jointly announced that the Micro Four Thirds system took the #1 market share by lens mount in Japan with 19.8% (based on the number of digital interchangeable lens cameras sold in Japan by lens mount):

Micro Four Thirds further expands the possibilities of enjoyment and utilization of video by developing the lineup unique to the joint standard, and currently supports 54 companies including BtoB companies. In 2019, four new models of mirrorless cameras compliant with the Micro Four Thirds System standard were introduced, and we worked to revitalize the domestic market. As a result, we achieved a top share #1 of 19.8% in the domestic market by lens mount in 2019 (surveyed by the Four Thirds Secretariat based on sales performance data of leading camera dealers nationwide)
