Both the Nikon D6 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR cameras are rumored to be 20MP

Both the Nikon D6 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR cameras are rumored to be 20MP – basically no resolution bump compared to the previous D5 and 1D X Mark II models. It is interesting that both companies didn’t increase the resolution of their top-of-the-line DSLR cameras – probably in order to make them as fast as the Sony a9 Mark II that already has a 24MP sensor. Pretty much every previous DSLR version did offer a resolution bump.

Fuji to announce a new camera on January 24th (FF190003)

Fujifilm will announce their new FF190003 camera on January 24th (it was previously scheduled for January 17th):


Fujifilm has another new upcoming camera registered under the code name FF190005 .

One of the newly registered models is for the upcoming Fuji X100 replacement (Fujifilm X100V?). Stay tuned for additional information.

Nikon D780 DSLR camera rumored specifications (Nikon D750 replacement)

Here are the rumored Nikon D780 DSLR camera specifications (replacement the current Nikon D750)

  • 24MP BSI improved sensor
  • Articulated TFT LCD tilting touchscreen, 3.2″ with 2,100,000 dots
  • Significantly improved processor (compared to the D750)
  • Improved fps RAW shooting
  • Video: 3840×2160 24p-30p, 1920×1080 24p-120p
  • Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • No built-in flash
  • Higher ISO (better than the D850)
  • Dual SD UHSII card slots
  • Between 51 and 153 AF points – one number that I was given is 105 AF points
  • An updated interface like the Z-series
  • Slightly smaller and lighter body than the current D750
  • Nikon EN-EL15b battery (used also in the Z7, Z6, D850, D750 and other Nikon cameras)
  • Official announcement expected in the first half of January
