Sony will not be part of the 2019 Photo Plus show

There were some “rumors” that Sony will have a new camera on display at the 2019 Photo Plus show… Well, this will be kind of hard because from what I can see Sony will not take part in the 2019 Photo Plus show. Sony is not listed at the official 2019 Photo Plus website and I don’t see a Sony booth at the 2019 show floor plan. If I am not mistaken, Sony had the biggest booth at the last PhotoPlus show. Leica first dropped out of the show back in 2017 and I think there will be more companies dropping out in the future.

The Laowa 4mm f/2.8 fisheye lens with 210° FoV from Venus Optics is delayed. The lens was supposed to be released this Friday. New release date was not provided.

Update: it seems that this delay was only for the Japanese distributor of Laowa lenses.

New Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2X Macro APS-C lens in development from Venus Optics

Venus Optics is working on a new Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2X Macro APS-C mirrorless lens for Fujifilm X, Sony E and Canon M mounts. The official announcement is expected before the end of this year or early next year. Venus optics already has the Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2X Ultra-Macro lens (B&H | Adorama):
