Almost all Fuji X-H1 camera kits listed as discontinued


Several Fuji X-H1 mirrorless camera kits are already listed as discontinued at B&H. The X-H1 is still available in some configurations and it is still in stock at Adorama.

The Fujifilm X-H1 camera was announced in February last year.

Sigma L-mount lenses pricing announced



As reported earlier, today Sigma officially announced the pricing of their new L-mount lenses. Pre-orders are now open at Adorama and B&H.

In the US the Panasonic S1 is scheduled to start shipping on April 4th: see the listings at Adorama and B&H. The Lumix S lenses are also expected on April 4th: Adorama | B&H | Park Cameras | WEX.

Adobe Camera RAW and Lightroom 8.2.1 released with support for the new Panasonic S1/S1R and Canon RP full-frame mirrorless cameras


Today Adobe released a new version of Camera RAW and Lightroom Classic version 8.2.1 (April 2019 release) with added support for the following cameras:

Sharp joins Micro Four Thirds before the official announcement of their 8k camera


Today Sharp officially joined Micro Four Thirds which means the official announcement of the Sharp Micro Four Thirds 8k camera is coming soon (the camera was rumored to be announced at the 2019 NAB show). Here is what we know so far about the new Sharp 8k camera:

  • 8k at 30 fps in H.265 codec (Sharp is working on 60 fps)
  • Price under $5,000 (update: priced between $2,800 - $3,700)
  • No sensor info besides Micro Four Thirds format
  • 5" inch touchscreen display (swivel)
  • 1 SD card slot
  • On sensor stabilization
  • Ultra-compact BMC design
  • Looks like the Blackmagic Pocket camera
  • Not officially announced yet (a prototype was shown at CES)
  • The official announcement is expected at the 2019 NAB show
  • The camera will be released this summer
  • Foxconn and Sharp were considering to invest in RED to develop an affordable 8K camera
