New Metz Mecablitz M360 flash

Metz announced a new Mecablitz M360 flash a few weeks ago and today the company released the official pricing: £100 or around $120. The new Mecablitz M360 will be compatible with Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Leica and Sony cameras.
Metz flashes are sold at B&H, Adorama and Amazon.

New Sony 60MP IMX455AQR sensor leaked online
After the new IMX435AQJ sensor with 36MP and 8k video, another new Sony sensor leaked online: the IMX455AQR sensor will have 60MP, 8k video, and native 64 ISO. This new sensor is probably based on the IMX551 and will become available in 2019.

October CIPA numbers: still worse than past years

CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association in Japan) published their October report and the downturn continues – the total number of shipped digital cameras is lower compared to the same month in previous years (orange: 2018, black: 2017, blue: 2016, click for larger view):
The 2019 Photokina show is canceled, Photokina 2020 dates announced: May 27-30, 2020

Last year Photokina announced that the biggest photography show will start taking place annually. This made absolutely no sense since the camera industry is shrinking and many of the camera manufacturers were not happy with that decision. I am not surprised that today Photokina canceled their 2019 show and announced the 2020 Photokina dates (May 27-30, 2020):
