The Panasonic Lumix G9 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera raised a few eyebrows when it was announced with a price tag of $1,700 in November last year.

Over a month ago I reported that the Yashica Y35 digiFilm camera project that was funded on Kickstarter is not really what some expected it to be. Things went from bad to worse in the past few weeks as more people started receiving their cameras. Here are some reports:
Sony did not announce a new APS-C mirrorless camera before, during or after the Photokina show as some have suggested. In a recent interview, Sony confirmed that a new APS-C based mirrorless camera will be announced by the CP+ show that will take place at the end of February (February 28th - March 3th).

The Panasonic GX8 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera is now listed as discontinued at B&H - see this and this page (Adorama still has some in stock). The GX8 was announced on July 16, 2015.
