When Adobe released the latest Lightroom 6.13 last week, they indicated that there will be one more final standalone release that will be out by the end of the year.
At that point, it is probably a good idea to download a copy of the latest Lightroom standalone version from this page and keep it for your records as a backup because I am pretty sure that Adobe will remove the download from their website at some point. They have already been trying to “hide” the download link for a while now. The latest Lightroom Classic CC 7.0.1 also just automatically removes your local LR installation – see this page for more info on how to bring it back.
The current Adobe CC plan rates can be found here. You can get a free Lightroom CC trial on this page (no credit card required.).

The Reflex manual film SLR camera I reported about a few weeks ago will be officially launched on Kickstarter on November 7th (the Kickstarter price will be £399):

Fuji and Sony released their latest financial results – Fuji had strong photo-related sales in Europe and in the US with their Instax and GFX lines, while the only Sony division to lose money this quarter was Mobile:

Canon is rumored to announce three new PowerShot compact cameras for the 2018 CES show in January. One of them could be the already rumored G5 X Mark II. The second camera could be a new G3 X Mark II (replacement for the current PowerShot G3 X model).
Canon is also rumored to announce a new Cinema EOS C400 camera.

After Fujifilm discontinued some more photographic film packages last week, the company launched the previously rumored Instax SHARE SP-3 smartphone-compatible printer capable of printing square format photos (see pricing and availability).

The new Instax Wide Monochrome film is now in stock.

I received some information that a new Panasonic LUMIX G9 camera is going to be announced by the end of this year:
It will have the same photo quality and photo functions like the GH5. It will not have the same video options. It will have a second display on the top like DSLR cameras. I don’t know whether the top display will be LCD or OLED. The new camera is rumored to cost around €1,200 (around $1,400).
Coincidentally, a new post appeared on Fredmiranda forum with a screenshot from a photographer’s Facebook post who claimed that he is testing the new Panasonic Lumix G9 camera (Ken Duncan is a Panasonic brand ambassador):

There are only a few hours left for the B&H PhotoPlus Expo specials (see the camera section & lens section – some may require promo code PPEBH17). The two deals shown above are:
