New Canon EOS M50 (Kiss M) and Olympus E-PL9 mirrorless cameras to be announced soon

Two new mirrorless cameras were registered with the Bluetooth certification agency and will most likely be announced in the next 30-90 days:

Canon EOS M50 (Kiss M): Bluetooth version 4.1, new wireless module (possibility: WM600, model number PC232).
Olympus E-PL9: Bluetooth version 4.1, same wireless module as in the Olympus AIR cell phone camera module (already discontinued), the code name for this camera could be the previously reported IM008.

September CIPA report: system camera shipments down compared to last year

CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association in Japan) published their September report – this time the number of shipped interchangeable lens digital cameras is lower compared to the same month of last year (orange: 2017, black: 2016, blue: 2015, click for larger view). The next lens from Panasonic will be the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Power OIS

The Swedish website Fotosidan published their review of the new Panasonic G9 camera ($1,698) and they confirmed that the next lens announced from Panasonic will be the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Power OIS (see screenshot above).

This Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Power OIS lens has been under development for a while and will be Panasonic’s 10th premium lens after the Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8 POWER O.I.S. lens ($2,998) was announced earlier this week (see all Panasonic MFT lenses). The lens was first displayed at the 2016 Photokina show:
