Adobe started significantly increasing their profit back in 2015 when they began switching customers to the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

Last month I reported that Tamron is going to announce a new 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens this year. The official announcement will happen next week, right before the release of the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM and 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lenses on June 22nd.
The new Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens will replace the current Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD version.
Sigma, Tokina and Nikon also recently refreshed their 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses.
Tamron already refreshed their 70-200mm f/2.8 lens in early 2017.
