Panasonic announces “organizational and personnel changes”
Panasonic announced some details on their organizational and personnel changes and appointments effective on April 1, 2017 – read all the details at 43addict.com.
There have been reports that Panasonic will dismantle their digital camera business and place it under the umbrella of other operations. Panasonic’s official statement is that the Digital Imaging business will move under the Panasonic Appliances Company and it will not be dismantled.
Sony to announce new 100MP and 150MP large format BSI sensors in 2018
First a quick reminder – in some parts of the world it’s already April 1st, so in the next 24 hours take anything you read online with a grain of salt.

Canon working on a new lens technology, new products rumored to be announced next week
In a recent interview with Focus Numerique, Canon executive made a statement that the company is working on a new lens technology (thanks Mistral75):
Sans pouvoir vous en dire plus, nous sommes en train de développer une nouvelle technologie qui apportera une réelle valeur ajoutée et permettra de prendre un nouveau type de photo.
Translation: Without being permitted to tell you more, we are developing a new technology that will bring real added value and will allow to take a new type of photo.
According to CanonRumors, next week Canon is rumored to announce a EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM lens and a new PowerShot SX camera (most likely a replacement for the PowerShot SX60 HS).

Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens US pricing announced
Sigma officially announced the pricing of their 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens – $799. B&H is already taking pre-orders for the new lens (available in Nikon, Canon and Sigma mounts). The lens was officially announced for the CP+ show in February.
