The new Irix 11mm f/4 full frame lens for Nikon, Canon and Pentax DSLR cameras will start shipping this week

B&H and Adorama will start shipping the new Irix 11mm f/4 full frame lens for Nikon, Canon and Pentax DSLR cameras later this week. The lens is already in stock in several EU retailers (Amazon UK, Amazon Germany, Amazon France, Amazon Italy).

Another new cheap Chinese lens: Kamlan/SainSonic 50mm f/1.1

In addition to the 7Artisans/DJ-Optical lenses I reported last week, there is another new and cheap ($170) Chinese lens designed for APS-C cameras: Kamlan/SainSonic 50mm f/1.1. New C.P. Goerz Citograph 35mm f/8 lens to be launched this week on Kickstarter UPDATED

Update: the lens is now officially announced.

This week a new German startup company will launch the pictured above C.P. Goerz Citograph 35mm f/8 lens on Kickstarter. From the leaked picture it appears that the lens will not have any focusing mechanism. The new lens will be available for almost all available mounts. Stay tuned for details.

New GoPro HERO 6 Black camera rumors

A new GoPro HERO 6 Black camera was registered today at the Indonesian Communication Agency:

Based on previous filings, the official announcement should be in the next 2-4 months.

The GoPro HERO 6 has been rumored for a while - see previous reports at Mashable and Engadget.

Sony A5 camera teaser? (new full frame interchangeable lens camera from Sony)

A reader sent me this teaser that was posted on a Chinese message board - reportedly, this is a new full frame interchangeable lens camera from Sony that will be called a5 (I think the translation should be "world's slimmest"). I would take this leak with a grain of salt - valid Sony rumors are really hard to come by lately.

Update - here is a better view of the camera, as you can read in the comments section this teaser is fake:
