Fuji recently filed a patent in Japan for a XF Fujinon 16mm f/1.8 and 150mm f/2 lenses. Another patent for a 20mm f/1.8 lens was also recently filed. Fuji already has a 18mm f/2 R and 23mm f/1.4 R lenses in their current XF lineup.

I received a tip from a reader that Sony’s next A-mount lens will be an updated 135 f/1.8 ZA – this is one of their best selling ZA primes and the demand for an updated version is very high. Sony is planning to make the announcement prior to the Photokina show in September. The update will include a new T-coatings, weather-sealing and SSM. The 85mm and 35mm lenses are rumored to get a similar update in 2017.
