For the 2016 Photokina show, the Swiss camera manufacturer ALPA announced a new ALPA Anniversary Edition Set commemorating 70 years of ALPA as a brand and 20 years of ALPA 12 medium format system (more pictures after the break).

The second news is that ALPA and Hasselblad “formed a collaboration allowing an unprecedented exchange of expertise and technical information“. The company hints that there could be more new products: “ALPA will inform continuously on further new products shown at Photokina 2016“.

Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 lens to be announced for Photokina

Tamron is rumored to announce a new SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 lens for Photokina. The model name of the lens will be A022 and will be available for Canon, Nikon and Sony mounts (no VC in Sony version). The “G2” probably stands for “generation 2” (Tamron already has a SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD lens). The official announcement is expected for Photokina.

I’ve already said that there are hardly any reliable Sony rumors and this is the proof – Sony just announced a new full frame FE 50mm f/2.8 macro lens with 1:1 reproduction that was not picked up even by the Japanese websites. The US price of the lens will be $498. Few sample photos can be found here. Technical specifications:

  • Compact, lightweight design
  • Circular 7-blade aperture for beautiful defocus effects
  • Dust- and moisture-resistant design

Fuji to announce a new Fujinon XF 50mm f/2 lens

In this new video Billy from the Fuji Guys mentioned that a new Fujinon XF 50mm f/2 lens will be announced “later on” (check the 9:37 mark from the video above). The new 50mm lens, together with the Fujinon XF 23 and XF 35 f/2 lenses, will be part of the so called “designer series”.

Update: that lens was already on Fuji’s roadmap.

One of the new cameras registered at the Russian government agency Novacert could be the just leaked Canon XC15 4k camcorder (pictured above via Nokishita). The XC15 will replace the current XC10 model. The official announcement will most likely happen during Photokina.
