
In addition to the Sony A33 and Sony A55 cameras that were already listed as discontinued, Sony has now listed also the A35 as “previous model” on their official website which is how the company marks their discontinued products.
Today Sony announced the a35 ($699) and NEX C-3 ($599-$649) cameras plus the 30mm NEX macro lens ($249) and the new F20S flash ($150). The new Sony a35 will have a new tele-zoom high speed shooting mode: A new set of 11 effects will also be introduced in the upcoming a35 and NEX C-3 cameras. They will also be available as a firmware update for the older NEX 3 and NEX 5 models:

From the same source who leaked the NEX C3 pictures, here is the first image of the Sony a35 camera. Few weeks ago, the a35 briefly appeared on Sony’s website. The a33 model has already been discontinued, so the a35 announcement should be coming soon.
Sony NL currently has a link on their website that is labeled “check out the new α35”. Since the Sony a33 was listed as discontinued, the α35 will probably be its replacement. The announcement should be very close since Sony already started updating their websites.
Sony a33 camera is listed as discontinued on Sony’s website in Japan. The camera was announced back in August 2010. It seems that the latest Sony cameras have a life cycle of less than 12 months. The Sony NEX 3 mirrorless camera was also listed as discontinued back in February, 2011 (announced in May, 2010).
