The Sony RX1R II camera now costs $600 more, all 42MP Sony cameras are out of stock

The Sony RX1R II camera recently got a big $600 price increase: now listed for $3,898 and is out of stock almost everywhere (same price at Adorama and Amazon). The RX1R II was $3,299 when first announced back in October last year. The new pricing is now pretty much in Leica territory (the Leica Q is $4,250).

Sony Cybershot RX1R II camera now in stock

              After a delay and a service advisory, the Sony Cybershot RX1R II compact full frame camera is now shipping in the US and is currently in stock at B&H. This is way ahead of the official shipping date (February 19th).

The new Sony RX1R II camera will start shipping on February 19

Shortly after the Sony RX1R II was announced, the release/shipment was delayed without any further details. Today Sony Japan announced the new RX1R II shipping date: February 19, 2016. The Sony RX1R II is currently available for pre-order at: Amazon Adorama B&H WEX Photographic (UK) The older Sony RX1 model is currently on sale for $1,695.

The release date of the Sony RX1R II (DSC-RX1RM2) camera is postponed

  Sony Japan announced that the release of the Sony RX1R II (DSC-RX1RM2) full frame compact camera ($3,299) is postponed till mid-January, 2016.
