The Sony RX200 camera to have a faster 28-100mm f/1.8-2.8 lens?

Sony filed a patent for a 10-36mm f/1.8-2.8 lens designed for a 1″ sensor (28-100mm equivalent). This lens could potentially be used in the future Sony RX200 camera (the current RX100 II model has a 28–100 mm f/1.8-4.9 lens).

New Samyang Optics teaser for April 28th

Samyang has a new teaser for a “second step of Samyang Optics in 2014” that will happen on April 28th. My guess is that they will announce a new line of autofocus (AF) lenses and a redesigned logo (previously reported here).

Mitakon 50mm f/0.95 lens price: $800

Zeiss to announce a new Otus 85mm f/1.4 lens for Photokina

Zeiss is rumored to announce a new Otus 85mm f/1.4 lens for the 2014 Photokina show in September. Two new Otus lenses (including a fast f/1.4 wide angle model) were already mentioned last year in interview with Zeiss reps. Zeiss currently has only one Otus lens – the Distagon T* 55mm f/1.4.
