Shortly after the Sony RX1R II was announced, the release/shipment was delayed without any further details. Today Sony Japan announced the new RX1R II shipping date: February 19, 2016. The replacement of the Panasonic CM1 camera smart phone that was announced today doesn’t actually have a phone functionality – the new CM10 is basically a “connected” camera that runs on Android OS. Panasonic calls it “communication camera” – the CM10 still has LTE communication capabilities, but it will not be able to make phone calls.
