Fuji X100F camera rumors recap

Fuji current X100T is now $200 off

The upcoming Fuji X100F camera will basically be a small version of the X-Pro2:

  • 24MP X-Trans CMOS III sensor
  • Same body style as the previous X100T version
  • Same 23mm f/2 lens
  • Same battery
  • Controls similar to the X-Pro2 camera (the same combo shutter/ISO dial, joystick, front grip dial from the X-Pro2 but no tilt/flip LCD screen)
  • No 4k video
  • Still not sure about the processor - either the new X-Processor Pro used in the X-Pro2 or the old one used in the Fuji X-A3
  • Announcement for the CP+ show in February, 2017

No tilt screen,,Hmmm, well one reviewer states that a tilt screen is only for a doofless. So I guess I’m ?

Don’t feel too bad – I hear Ansel Adams composed some good shots on a screen!

Considering not much is changed, I would imagine at least a new processor will be used. Otherwise how would Fuji justify this as a new camera?

    • jojo

      24MP sensor?

      • Spy Black

        I meant besides the obvious.

What’s the reliability on this rumor?

    • It comes from a person who saw the actual camera.

  • SolarSky

No 4K video? How dare they!

Can’t remember if that one Reddit comment where someone said “return your X100T if you bought it recently because the X100F is definitely worth the wait” was real or not, but this just sounds like a useless update. Sure, the new sensor is nice, but there doesn’t seem to be any other meaningful updates. Disappointing.

Not sure if there is a demand for this camera.
I know that most adapters of the X100 series will be usable on this, but too much rez for street photography, without a sensor shift or lens OS is kind of counter intuitive.
I would buy this camera if it had a B&W sensor with a meaninfully higher DR and lower noise.

I would love one – I think it’s featureset is perfect for street.

It’s the right size, it’s got the right lens, has a viewfinder, lots of programmable buttons, aps sensor.

          • Originaru

Why not the older one x100t?

          • Max

I’ve wanted a x100t for the last year or so but then school fees happened.

          • Originaru

Pick a used one, if the sensor is the only diference, you will pay much less in the end.

  • FujiRumors is pretty adimate that X100F use W126 battery.

I really don’t understand their stubborn adherence to APS-C. Sure they’re making the GFX but it’s going to be $8+k. A FF X100 camera would sell like crazy. I would put down money on a large portion of people who use the RX1 and Q would rather buy a FF camera that looks like an X100 with a Fuji 35/2. Who cares if it’s $2-2.5K? That’s cheaper than the Leica by far.
