Reminder: a new Fujinon XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 lens is coming soon

In case you have missed our posts from over a month ago, Fujifilm will soon introduce a new Fujinon XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. There is a Fuji announcement coming in February before the CP+ show (mid-February most likely) but I am not sure yet if this lens will be one of the products that will be introduced. Stay tuned for updates.

Next is some additional information on what is coming next from Fuji:

    But they already have 16-60mm…

Either people have been saying they want wider AND/or it’s a collapsible zoom.

    • Chaitanya

All manufacturers have overlapping wide angle zoom lenses, its not new its just that they are providing options to users to select based on their needs.

  • I find it weird that the hybrid photo/video camera (X-H) will have worse video capabilities than the photocentric X-T3 that should be coming only half a year later.
Will the X-T3 feature IBIS, too?

Any information about an X-T3 is pure speculation at this point. I wouldn’t look for it to arrive before 2019, and seriously doubt it will even be announced before 2019, either. Will it have IBIS…? Hard to say. I’m hoping so.

While I probably won’t abandon my a6300 and couple of lenses that go with it any time soon, I have to say that the case for Fuji is very compelling. I’d probably jump to Fuji before jumping to Sony FE.

This sounds like the most milktoast announcement from pretty much any manufacturer. I can’t think of a more boring product from anyone.
