Sigma confirms again their plans for new FE lenses designed for Sony mirrorless cameras


In a recent post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo (already deleted), Sigma confirmed again what they already told us in various interviews over the past two years  - the company is planning to introduce a new line of full-frame FE lenses designed for Sony mirrorless cameras. The first obvious choices are 35mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.4 - as Sigma's CEO Kazuto Yamaki said: "we'd either make a f/1.4, or something different". We will probably see the first signs of the new lenses around the CP+ show that starts in March. There is no indication yet if Sigma will also announce new lenses for the upcoming Nikon mirrorless camera.
