Hasselblad H4D-31 is now discontinued

A recent Calumet newsletter indicated that the Hasselblad H4D-31 medium format camera ($11,995) is now discontinued. Some of the H4D-31 kits configurations are also listed as discontinued at B&H. The H4D-31 was introduced in September 2010 and had a huge price reduction last  year.

Samsung NX2000 EXIF data appears on the Web

Pictures taken with the upcoming Samsung NX2000 were recently uploaded on Google+ and were later removed but you can still see a screenshot of the EXIF data. After the quiet NX1100 announcement, the NX2000 will most likely be the next camera announced by Samsung.

New: Minox DCC 14.0 camera

The latest lens patents from Canon, Tamron, Sony and Olympus

Canon filed more patents (2013-47780 and 2013-37339) for a 14mm f/2.8 lens (see previous patent here). Tamron’s patent 2013-44964 is for a 10-18mm f/4 lens for APS-C cameras. Two different version were described – with and without image stabilization.
