Sony reveals some of its camera plans for 2014

In recent Sony UK briefing, the company revealed that a new super-zoom bridge camera with a very fast processor, a new compact and one mirrorless model will be announced in February (probably during the CP+ show in Japan):

First picture of the Sony based A-mount Hasselblad camera

Sony A5000: the world’s smallest and lightest interchangeable-lens digital Wi-Fi camera

Sony announced the previously rumored A5000 – the world’s smallest and lightest interchangeable-lens digital Wi-Fi camera. Sony already eliminated the NEX brand and future models will be called Alpha. The price is $598 and the cameras is currently available for pre-order at Amazon and B&H. Sony ILCE-5000 (a5000) camera

The Taiwanese NCC government agency (National Communications Commission) has a registration for a new Sony ILCE-5000 (a5000) camera. The official announcement will most likely be during the CES show in early January (Las Vegas) or during the CP+ show in Japan in early February.
