Voigtlander is considering to start a new line of digital cameras

The rumor I received is that Voigtlander is considering to start a new line of digital cameras. I don’t have a time frame or any additional details for now.

Cosina recently cleared their inventory by discontinuing several different Zeiss and Voigtlander products.

If anyone has any additional information on this project, you can contact me here.

If this rumor is true and if this turns out to be a new Voigtlander Bessa digital rangefinder similar to the Leica M, it will be a very interesting development.

FIY: there were Voigtlander digital cameras back in 2008 and a digital rangefinder back in 2007 (R-D1 was jointly developed by Seiko Epson and Cosina).
