Last month I reported that the next Olympus PEN camera will look very much like the classic PEN F film model and the latest leaked E-P5 image confirms that rumor. The Olympus E-P5 will have a 16MP sensor (same as in the OM-D E-M5 model) and built-in Wi-Fi. The official announcement will at the beginning of May.

In a recent interview, the Managing Director and General Manager of Pentax Ricoh China made some interesting statement, including the development of a new professional APS-C based Pentax camera. The previously leaked Sony DSC-HX50V camera is now officially announced. Sony knows how to make small compact cameras and claims that this is "the world’s smallest, lightest digital still camera that packs a powerful 30x optical zoom range". The HX50V will start shipping on May 21 with a price tag of $448 and can currently be pre-ordered at Amazon.
Technical specifications:
The Ricoh GXR camera body, GRX + S10 lens kit and GRX + A16 lens kit are all listed as discontinued. The GXR system was announced in November 2009 but since the modules where the sensor is located are interchangeable, it remains to be seen if Ricoh will decide to upgrade the camera body.
