Last year at the CP+ show in Japan Tokina displayed a prototype of their new AT-X 70-200mm f/4 PRO FX VCM-S lens (full frame). This lens is now officially announced (see technical specs here). In addition, Tokina also announced a new AT-X 12-28 f/4 PRO DX lens (technical specs).

Pentax Japan announced three new Evangelion special edition Q10 mirrorless cameras. The technical specs are the same as the original Q10 model. A total of 1,500 units will be produced for distribution in Japan only. Shipping will start in April 2013 with a price tag of ¥59,800 ($660).

In addition to the XZ-10 camera, during the CP+ show next week, Olympus will also announce a new M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II lens for Micro Four Thirds (pictured above). Olympus advertised the older, already discontinued, version as the “the world’s smallest and lightest 600mm super telephoto lens“. The new lens will be available only in black color (the previous version was available also in silver).

In an interview with DC.watch, Masaya Rong (managing director at Canon) hinted that the Canon EOS 7D successor “is not the story of the day“, which indicates that the camera will not be announced during the CP+ show next week. For some reason Nikon and Canon are not ready to replace their high end, cropped sensor DSLR bodies yet.

The latest rumor indicate that the next version of the Phottix Odin TTL flash trigger will combine Nikon and Canon controls into one unit:

“According to one of Phottix’s European distributors, the next generation of Phottix Odin TTL flash trigger (Phottix Odin II?) may allow you to control Nikon flashes from Canon cameras and Canon flashes from Nikon cameras, adjusting power levels in manual mode.”
