Nova DSLR camera concept

I am a big fan of camera concepts – in previous posts you can see a Leica S5 concept, Nikon 3M Coolpix concept, Nikon Coolpix 360 and another Coolpix concept. Keep in mind that those concept are created by designers and have nothing to do with real life camera manufacturers (but  they are still so cool). Today I present to you the Nova DSLR camera concept by Erin Fong:

Yes, Sony a700 is discontinued but what is the replacement?

sony-a850The previous report about the Sony a700 being discontinued came back in August. Now, Sony Europe (Netherlands) confirms that directly in an email – the a700 is replaced by the “Alpha 8 series”. Do they mean the a850? Not sure why they would replace a 1.5x crop sensor DSLR with a full frame DSLR. Maybe they mean the rumored a800?

The replacement of the DSLR-A700 will after all be the Alpha 8-series.
I hope to have informed you sufficiently,
