The JVC GC-PX10 hybrid camera was announced during the IFA show in Berlin last month. Thanks to the FALCONBRID high speed imaging engine, the GC-PX10 is capable of shooting 60 fps stills and 300 fps video. The camera US price is $899.95 and is expected to start shipping this month.

The US price for the Fuji X10 camera was initially set at $699. Today Adorama corrected the price and started taking pre-orders again at $599.95.
The Canadian price will be $599.99 CAD. Shipping will start in November, 2011. UK price is £499.99, the price in Germany is 529 EUR.

The new firmware for the A65 and A77 SLT cameras will probably be released in mid-October, 2011. Firmware version 1.03 was already spotted in a recent Sony event in Thailand (see picture above).
Sony claimed that the NEX-5N clicking sound during video recording is caused by a mechanical part of the shutter that “clicks” during sudden movements of the camera. Sony will offer free lubrication to current NEX-5N owners. There will be no firmware fix for this problem.
