Sigma is preparing to release an update of the existing Sigma SD 14:
“The SD15 will house the same 14-million-pixel Foveon X3 imaging sensor that is employed in Sigma’s current SD14 model (pictured). It will incorporate a new True II image processing engine and 3in LCD monitor.”

A reader sent me a detailed translation of the Sony invitation for the event in Hong Kong on August 28th (thanks Rebel):

Unless the translation is not accurate, we should expect more than one Sony α DSLR. They also mentioned a “new Exmor CMOS sensor”. The “share fantastic photos easily” part smells like a built-in Wi-Fi. My bets are for α500, α550 and α850.

If you don’t follow LeicaRumors that’s ok. Here is what you need to know: Leica M9 to be released on September 9th (09.09.09 at 09:09am). The M9 will have an 18MP, full frame sensor (probably from Kodak).
But wait, there is more: another unknown and “interesting” Leica camera is also expected to be announced (probably on the same date).
