Two upcoming/rumored Canon RF lenses: RF-S 33mm f/1 L USM and RF 70-300mm f/2-4 L IS USM

I received some information on two upcoming/rumored Canon RF lenses:

  • Canon RF-S 33mm f/1 L USM lens: there is already a patent for such lens (P2021-167921A).
  • Canon RF 70-300mm f/2-4 L IS USM: 1.6kg zoom lens that still has a large aperture of f/2.4 at 150mm. The image quality at 300mm should be equal to or even better than the already discontinued Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM lens.

ATOLL: a new flexible solution for camera angle adjustment now on Kickstarter

The Taiwanese company Silence Corner developed a new camera accessory called ATOLL: “ATOLL is the perfect photography accessory, specially designed for landscape photographers. The lightweight aluminum alloy with a double-layer ring structure allows users to quickly adjust the camera angle on a tripod.”


ATOLL is now listed on Kickstarter and already has $78,400 pledged (original goal: $10,000).

New gold TTartisan 28mm f/5.6 limited edition lens for Leica M-mount coming soon

The silver TTartisan 28mm f/5.6 lens for Leica M-mount has been in stock for a while and will soon be available in black and black brass (the black version is expected next week). TTartisan is also working on a new gold version of the lens that will be a limited edition (only 500 pieces will be produced). The gold version is expected in August – a perfect fit for the new gold-plated Leica M10-P “Royal Thai”:
