On February 28th Olympus will release a new firmware update version 2.00 for the Olympus EM-1 Mark II mirrorless MFT camera (currently $1,699 after $300 rebate). Here is the list of new features/fixes:
Nikon will not announce their new mirrorless camera for the 2018 CP+ show in Japan which explains the lack of credible leaks and rumors. The next possible announcement timeframe is the Photokina show in September (Nikon has a booth at the NAB show but I doubt we will see something big there).
In the next weeks/months I expect Nikon to announce the rumored Nikkor 60mm macro lens that will be specifically designed to work with the new ES-2 film digitising adaptor set for the D850 that was already delayed until March 2018. Another possibility is the long rumored replacement for the Nikon Coolpix P900 camera.
There will also not be any new Sigma lenses specifically designed for the new Nikon mirrorless camera as some questionable websites reported a few weeks ago.

As I already reported yesterday, the second Tamron lens will be mirrorless and we will most likely see only the development announcement. The Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD full frame lens will be first available only for Sony E-mount. Here is the first picture of the lens courtesy of Nokishita:

Tamron is rumored to announce two new lenses this week – the first one will be a new Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD full frame lens for DSLR cameras, the second will most likely be a mirrorless full frame lens for Sony E-mount (the second teaser says “one more”). Tamron will probably just announce the future development of the mirrorless lens, while the DSLR lens will be available for pre-order right away. The official announcement will be on February 22nd, 2018. Stay tuned for additional information.
