Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO lens

Digicame-info reports that the upcoming Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300mm f/4 PRO lens will have image stabilization (IS). The lens was announced back in February without the IS part (see prototype picture). The official release date should be coming soon – maybe in the next few months. The Russian government website Novocert lists also Sigma as part of their online filing, which is really interesting – maybe Sigma was involved in the IS development of this lens?

New Fuji X-Pro2 camera coming soon

Bogus rumors of a new Fuji X-Pro 2 camera have been floating online for years and I have chosen not to report them here. Today digicame-info reported the first reliable info I’ve seen that a new Fuji X-Pro 2 camera is coming soon (probably in early 2016) – a Chinese government website already has a listing for the Wi-Fi capabilities of the new camera (see screenshot above).

Fuji announcement this week

In case you missed this post, here is another picture of the upcoming Fuji XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens courtesy of digicame-info. The price of the lens in Japan will be ¥48,000 (tax included). Two different colors will be available: black and silver. The price of the XF 1.4x teleconverter WR in Japan will be ¥59,000 (tax included). Both products will be announced this week for the PhotoPlus Expo in NYC (October 21-24). Stay tuned for additional coverage.
