New firmware update for the Panasonic GX8, G7 and FZ300 will allow to select focus after the picture is taken

I received some information that Panasonic will release a new firmware update for the GX8, G7 and FZ300 cameras this Friday, November 20th. The firmware will be available for download on November 25th and will allow users to select the focus point after the picture is already taken – something similar to the Lytro lightfield cameras. The new focus feature will probably work based on their ‘4k photo’ and will allow users to touch where to focus or zoom in and use focus peaking for more precise selection.

Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.3 / 6.3 released

Adobe released Lightroom CC 2015.3 / 6.3. The new version adds supports for several new cameras and lenses and also fixes multiple bugs, including the instability, functionality and performance issues introduced in Lightroom CC 2015.2.x/6.2.x.

US price of the HD Pentax-D FA 645 35mm f/3.5 AL IF lens: $1,096.95

Quick update on my previous post – the US price of the new HD Pentax-D FA 645 35mm f/3.5 AL IF lens will be ~~$1,096.95~~ $1,599. The lens is now available for pre-order. Shipping should start in mid December 2015.

Update #1: the new version is basically $500 cheaper than the old model.

Update #2: the price of the new lens is now changed to $1,599.
