New lens patents: Tamron SP 85mm f/1.4 Di VC USD and Sigma 30-300mm f/2.8-3.5 Super 35

Two new patents from Tamron and Sigma: Tamron filed a patent for a SP 85mm f/1.4 Di VC USD full frame DSLR lens. Sigma filed a patent in Japan for a 30-300mm f/2.8-3.5 Super 35 lens. Maybe Sigma is getting also into the cinema lens segment?

Olympus Zuiko Digital 35mm f/1.4 full frame mirrorless lens patent

Few days ago I reported on a new Olympus 28mm f/2 full frame mirrorless lens patent. Today Egami spotted another Olympus patent filed in Japan for a 35mm f/1.4 full frame mirrorless lens. Just like the previous 28mm f/2, this 35mm f/1.4 lens is calculated for a sensor slightly smaller than a “real” full frame.

The latest patents from Ricoh, Canon and Fuji

Ricoh has a patent for a camera with a built-in dock for a smart phone. Another Ricoh patent is for infrared AF assist lamp (Nikon recently filed a similar patent). Canon has a patent for a new 24-300mm f/4-5.6 lens.
