Sony announced DEV-3 and DEV-5 digital recording binoculars

When I initially reported the rumor about a new digital recording binoculars from Sony, I did not believe that such product exists, but today Sony announced the DEV-3 and DEV-5: a new gadget that combines a digital camera, camcorder and binoculars. Kodak’s patents may be worth $3 billion

Bloomberg and WSJ published articles that Kodak’s patents are probably worth $3 billion and the company has started marketing them to potential buyers that could include Microsoft, Samsung, and even Google. The company’s equity is currently  valued at $600 million after a series of negative financial news.

More Sony NEX-5N specs

Some additional specs for the Sony NEX-5N mirrorless camera: 0.02 seconds shutter lag time 3 in. 921k dots touch screen LCD AF tracking can be enabled from the touchscreen Improved audio quality during video recording New OLED viewfinder with eye proximity sensor (similar to the Fuji X100) will be available as an accessory.

Samsung NX200 registered with RRA

Samsung NX200 camera is already registered with the Korean Radio Research Agency which is a clear indication that  the camera will be released in the next month or so (see previous reports on RRA filings): Samsung NX20 model will be released in January, 2012. All previously announced and upcoming lenses are also registered with RRA:

Nauticam announces NA-GF2 underwater housing for Panasonic Lumix GF2 camera
