Pentax Australia: “good things are coming”

Pentax Australia promised on Twitter (via Pentaxforums) that "good things are coming" in reference to a question about a full frame Pentax DSLR camera. The company is expected to have 9 new press releases next week. Rumors are circulating about a Pentax 645D replacement, a new Pentax K-3 APS-C DSLR and the introduction of the DA 560mm f/5.6 lens.

there are really some people waiting for it?
nikon could sure use some competition.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up, but a compact FF-DSLR from Pentax would be awsome. Something like in K-5 size.

Cold proof / weather seal FF, sounds different than the competitor!

I think every FF body is sealed right now, except M9. Pentax should concantrate to size, making something smaller than Nikon d600.

However, an FF Pentax would be surprising at the moment.

For sure a FF is coming. New horizons for Pentax users. I’ve seen the prototype.

Remember, digital is getting more and more competitive to keep buyers interested in DSLRS and what not, its inevitable a FF is coming from Pentax.

It’s surprising not much has leaked out about these 9 announcements, makes me think there’s nothing major in there like a FF. In 2012, an updated APS-C DSLR camera is not big news.
