The latest patents from Olympus, Tamron, Sigma and Sony

Two new macro lens patents: Tamron 90mm f/2.8 and Sigma 180mm f/2.8. Another patent shows Tamron is also working on a 45mm f/2.8 Macro VC lens for Four Thirds cameras and another 60mm f/2.8 Macro VC lens for APS-C cameras. Olympus patented a 3D lens adapter that will achieve 3D effects with a regular camera and lens.

The latest patents from Tamron, Canon, Olympus, Samsung

Tamron’s latest patent is for a 135mm f/2.8 lens for APS-C based cameras (202.5mm equivalent). Canon filed patents for several different lenses: 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 85mm f/1.2 85mm f/1.8 135mm f/2 50mm f/1.4 Olympus filed a patent for a 40-200mm f/4 Micro Four Thirds lens.

The latest patents: new Canon lenses, 3D camera and lens by Olympus, curved sensor by Toshiba

Canon filed a patent for a 70-200mm f/4 lens. Canon filed patents for a 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS and 28-200mm (APS-C) f/3.5-5.6 IS (full frame) lenses.
